Osa Interactive Gardens (O.I.G.)

Osa Interactive Gardens - OneForest Foundation

Osa Interactive Gardens (OIG) is a rainforest conservation and environmental education project focused on neotropical butterflies and interacting with nature. The site features a 25×35 meter enclosed butterfly habitat and botanical gardens surrounded by dense jungle only a five minute walk from central Puerto Jimenez, Costa Rica.

You traveled a long way to get to PJ- No need to travel further down the dusty, bumpy roads to reach this jungle sanctuary (with the largest butterfly farm in the Osa Peninsula!). We are the only butterfly farm within walking distance of town and to the stunning calm waters of the Golfo Dulce.

Our mission is to share butterflies and the tropical rainforest with the next generation. We use the lovable and relatable bug to set the stage for discussion about tropical rainforest ecology. Come learn about the importance to conserve, restore, and protect the system as a whole rainforest.
